Plans for 433 apartments in Ramat Gan were deposited during a video session

The Tel Aviv District Urban Renewal Commission has commissioned two urban renewal programs in Ramat Gan . The largest of the two refers to a 6.25-acre complex located between the streets at Beit Horon Street and Maale Scopus. The plan includes the construction of four residential buildings. Two 22-storey buildings in front of Beit Horon Street and two additional eight-storey buildings in front of Maale Scopus Street. And a total of 343, which will build 116 apartments that currently exist in the complex in old-fashioned buildings.

Of the total housing units, approximately 70 housing units will be allocated for small apartments of 75 square meters including. 20% of the apartments will be in an area not exceeding 55 square meters, in accordance with the policy of the Tel Aviv District Committee to create a diverse apartment mix close to mass transit systems. The plan also states that it allocates an area of ​​public space in the area of ​​260 square meters, as well as a garden for the benefit  children. The program is initiated by the Levinstein Company and was conducted by Leah Rubenko Architects.

Another 1.8-acre site at the Roa and Sons junction, near the eastern boundary of the city with Bnei Brak, was further developed. The plan includes a 20-story residential building with 90 housing units. The plan will replace two poor two-story residential buildings with 29 housing units. Of the total housing units, approximately 18 housing units will be allocated for small apartments of 75 square meters.

In addition to the housing units, the building will include an area of ​​280 square meters for public needs for educational, cultural and community uses. If necessary, a kindergarten will be added.

In light of the Corona crisis, the meetings were held in accordance with the Planning Procedure published by the Planning Administration to hold discussions when committee members join in a video call.

Tel Aviv District Chair, Architect Daniela Fusk said, "Thanks to the District Committee's enlistment and the Planning Board chaired by the District Planner, two plenary hearings were held, within two days, during which programs for urban renewal, empowerment of employment zones, and metropolitan plans of major importance were promoted. ".

Tel Aviv District Planner Eve Erlich-Roginsky added, "The plans are in the old texture of Ramat Gan and reflect the complex issues of renewal plans for zoning. The District Commission has worked with architects and the authority to create good interfaces with the public space and reach a good architectural solution."
